#LIITMEETUP Vol. 1
In collaboration with the Capital City of Podgorica and the ICT Cortex cluster, Logate Institute is organizing its first #LIITMEETUP event at the NEST premises. The planned event will take place on May 17, 2022, starting at 6:00 PM.
The theme of this inaugural gathering is ‘Protecting Intellectual Property through the Prism of Software Engineering.’ On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Nenad Medvidović, a full professor of computer science at the University of Southern California, will take the lead.
The issue of intellectual property in the IT industry and the fight against plagiarism is a current topic, especially in Montenegro, where the IT community is working on valuing its creations through licensing and patenting both domestically and abroad.
Nenad Medvidović, a former Podgorica high school student who continued his education in the United States and earned a doctoral degree in computer science, is the author of numerous research papers and publications in the field of software architecture. He also actively serves as an expert witness in intellectual IT property protection cases.

#LIITMEETUP represents an initiative by the Logate Institute aimed at connecting with prominent academics from abroad, initiating discussions, exchanging ideas, and improving the position of the Montenegrin IT community and society as a whole.
