Hackathon for Advancing Health Tourism in Montenegro: An Opportunity for Innovative Technological Ideas
The Ministry of Health of Montenegro, in collaboration with the Innovation Fund of Montenegro, the Technopolis Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, the Scientific and Technological Park of Montenegro, and ICT Cortex, is organizing a hackathon dedicated to enhancing the promotion of health tourism services in Montenegro.
This event represents an opportunity for teams to devise innovative technological solutions that will improve the promotion of health tourism in the country. The thematic focus includes the utilization of healthcare services such as dentistry, cosmetic surgery, and rehabilitation, as well as the potential of Montenegro’s natural resources, including nature parks, air spas, thermal springs, mineral and medicinal waters, and medicinal herbs, to attract health tourists.
Challenges in this field include the lack of comprehensive information about available healthcare institutions that provide or could provide health tourism services, as well as a lack of information about Montenegro’s natural potential for health tourism.
The top five teams with the most innovative ideas will have the opportunity to develop their products with the support of mentors during a 48-hour period. Afterward, the teams will present their solutions to an expert jury.
The prize fund for this hackathon amounts to 10,000 euros, and applications are open until June 28, 2023. Details on the application process and hackathon rules can be found at the following link.
